Always without
You thought you followed in his footsteps
Always fleeting
So you took me to a house to burn down
Have you come down
I can’t get me calmed down
I can’t get calmed down til you come down
Can’t explain it
Why you’d want to reminisce more
Felt the back half of your head on my mouth
Pushing back on
You said that you’re tracing my prayers home
Spilling avarice
You caught me getting pulled away by my dad
Always without
Pull the string and fall out
I said you’d change now you’re not around
Can’t explain it
Why you’d want to reminisce more
Caught the back half of you on your way out
The Canadian band present a hyper-present vision of dream pop, defined by romantic longing and surrealistic intent. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 11, 2019
Entirely analog, lush melodic pop with a tender heart from L.A. artist Human Barbie sounds bigger than the bedroom project it is. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 22, 2020
The Seams' jangly pop is full of lovely melodic twists and elegant turns-of-phrases delineating the quotidian details of love and romance. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 5, 2018
The title track pulled me into Slow Crush's orbit, but Tremble held me there - alongside Lull from the Hush LP and the whole of Seasurfer's Dive In, it can send me into an altered state of consciousness. The album vibrates with hints and nudges, from Slowdive twangs to a Corgan-esque chord shift, but Slow Crush are their own sound - thick, dark melodic, etherealistic soundscapes with Isa Holliday's vocals both binding the music and rising above it. One of the best bands in years. sentientpoet
